The Corporate Finance team at Interpath has advised the shareholders, including fashion brand accelerator Tomorrow London, on the strategic exit from A-COLD-WALL* to Four Marketing.
The A-COLD-WALL* is a menswear fashion and lifestyle brand that was founded in 2015 by Samuel Ross and in 2017 received investment from Tomorrow Ltd, which works with brands and creative leaders to fulfil their potential and creative vision. The partnership helped evolve the brand and expand its global footprint, including the launch of its flagship store in Shanghai.
The transaction sees the full transfer of ownership to Four Marketing, which will further support A-COLD-WALL*’s sustainable growth while maintaining a commitment to its brand identity. Four Marketing was backed by Frasers Group in 2015 and has been behind a number of renowned brands including Stone Island and C.P. Company.
As part of the transaction, Tomorrow will retain international distribution rights enabling the brand to leverage its global infrastructure network, which includes presence in key international fashion markets including Milan, Paris, Shanghai, and New York City.
The team from Interpath was led by Head of M&A Neil Sumner and Associate Director Nick Hill.
Commenting on the transaction, Neil Sumner, Managing Director at Interpath, said: “A-COLD-WALL* has emerged as a global brand and leader in UK fashion. The trajectory has been remarkable which is testament the team’s commitment to the brand’s vision and the support of its investor base. The partnership with Four Marketing builds on that success and will propel the brand as it pushes the boundaries of design and further develops the business on the international stage.”
Stefano Martinetto, CEO of Tomorrow, said: “Four Marketing’s commitment to long term brand development and strategic expansion aligns perfectly with the journey we’ve envisioned for A-COLD-WALL. We’re thrilled to see the brand transition into such capable hands, and we look forward to continuing to support its growth through our international distribution role. The exit also allows Tomorrow to double down its efforts on developing and supporting its remaining portfolio to maximise value while championing creatives. Thanks to the team at Interpath, which has also been instrumental in creating and preserving A-COLD-WALL’s sustainable growth value.”
