The joint administrators of P&B Metal Components have completed the sale of the business and certain assets to international precision engineering group, Associated Metal Forming Technologies (‘AMFT’).
P&B Metal Components is a contact manufacturing business that manufactures high quality metal components. Its products are exported to more than 30 countries and used in electrical assemblies across a range of sectors, including automotive, renewables, HVAC, aerospace, railways and industrial controls.
James Clark and James Lumb from Interpath were appointed joint administrators on 6 January 2026 after the company faced financial pressures. P&B Metal Components continued to trade while the joint administrators explored options, which culminated in the sale of the business and certain assets.
Michigan-based AMFT is a leading precision engineering group that designs and manufactures components and springs. It has operations in North and South America, Europe and Asia. The transaction will see all 47 remaining staff transfer to AMFT, which will continue operations at the site in Sheffield and at its standalone subsidiary in Malaysia.
