Interpath Advisory has confirmed the appointment of three senior managing directors as the fast-growing firm continues to strengthen and build its restructuring and advisory capabilities across Ireland.
The firm is delighted to welcome two of Ireland’s preeminent restructuring practitioners, Kieran Wallace and Eamonn Richardson.
Kieran Wallace has more than 25 years’ experience in restructuring and insolvency, including acting as a liquidator, receiver and examiner to various companies, including acting as one of the Joint Special Liquidators to IBRC (formally Anglo Irish Bank), a long-running liquidation on behalf of the Irish State which commenced in 2013. Kieran also has acted in a number of high profile forensic expert witness and fraud investigation cases.
Eamonn Richardson has more than 22 years’ experience in restructuring and insolvency, including acting as a liquidator, receiver and examiner for various companies across multiple sectors. He has been involved in complex insolvencies spanning multiple jurisdictions and has successfully completed several accelerated sales processes through receivership. Additionally, Eamonn provides strategic restructuring advice to stakeholders and lenders of underperforming businesses, assisting clients in evaluating their options and developing restructuring plans.
Kieran Wallace said: “This is such an exciting time to be joining Interpath as we continues to grow and expand at pace, delivering on our ambitions to become the market leading restructuring and advisory business in Ireland. Our Big 4 heritage, coupled with the nimbleness and independence that you’d expect from a boutique, is proving to be a powerful proposition for our clients who are seeking support in navigating these testing times.”
Eamonn Richardson added: “Interpath’s Restructuring team has already made its mark, winning some of the highest profile mandates in recent times, including the liquidations of Marco Polo Network Operations and Roadbridge, and the receivership of 4D Pharma Cork Limited. I’m looking forward to working alongside colleagues old and new to drive our business forward, supporting our clients in navigating challenging situations.”
Joining Interpath to lead and build its new Corporate Finance practice in Ireland is Liam Booth, who boasts a longstanding career of over 30 years in the Irish corporate finance market. He was previously Head of Corporate Finance and an Executive director of Investec Ireland, prior to which he was Head of Corporate Finance at NCB Group which was acquired by Investec in 2012. Over the course of his career, Liam has personally advised on M&A and fundraising transactions with a cumulative value of over €20bn.
Liam’s arrival and the launch of the new M&A business further strengthens Interpath’s broader Advisory offering in Ireland, and follows the recent arrivals of Paul Hough (Forensic) and Kevin Brett (Transaction Services).
Liam Booth said: “Interpath has already made an enormous impact in the Irish advisory market since its launch last year, so I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the firm. The team is ambitious, entrepreneurial and has a steadfast commitment to growth, so I’m looking forward to working with my fellow managing directors to build out a new Corporate Finance capability which places exceptional client service at its heart.”
In addition to the three new Managing Directors, Interpath has also announced the appointment of three new directors.
