Independent financial advisory firm Interpath has appointed Clara Coakley as a Director to its Debt Advisory team in Dublin as transactions in the European property market gather pace.
Clara joins Interpath from Goldman Sachs where she was an Executive Director in the Real Estate Asset Management team and managed the firm’s €2.5bn pan-European credit fund, guiding investment decisions on loans of €100m+ and optimising portfolio performance.
Clara began her career in financial services with Accenture before joining RBC Brewin Dolphin as an Investment Manager in its Private Wealth division. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2016 and, during her eight-year tenure with the firm, invested in and managed assets for real estate opportunities across the retail, office, residential, PRS and industrial markets in Ireland, UK and across Europe.
In her new role as a Director within Interpath’s Debt Advisory Group, Clara will support the firm’s clients in the real estate sector, and from across the economy, through all stages of the fundraising journey.
Andy Tallon, Managing Director and Head of Debt Advisory at Interpath in Ireland, said: “Clara is an outstanding professional in the European real estate sector and has remarkable credentials on the frontline of the debt markets. Her appointment supports our continued investment in our Advisory capabilities and is further evidence of our commitment to hiring the best talent from across the market. The real estate market is gathering pace again, not least supported by an easing in monetary policy in Europe, and clients will be looking for guidance to navigate the challenges and opportunities that will bring.”
Commenting on her appointment, Clara Coakley, Director at Interpath, said: “Interpath has made a real statement in the market in Ireland, but also across Europe as part of its growing international network. That expansion has been impressive and the mandates it has secured reflect the quality of the team, but also the impact its multi-disciplinary offering is making across the market. I’m thrilled to join Andy and the team as we help clients unlock their potential.”
Interpath has more than 90 professionals in Ireland and has built a multi-disciplinary practice across restructuring and deal advisory. Earlier this year, Interpath launched its tax team with the appointment of Managing Director Denis Herlihy and plans to grow its team at 120 by the end of 2025. The firm’s offices in Dublin, Cork, and Belfast form part of a network of 18 offices that spans UK, France, Ireland, and the Caribbean.
