1 October 2024 | Paris, France - Interpath Advisory, a leading international financial advisory firm, announces today the final closing of the business transfer agreement for the acquisition of the restructuring activities of KPMG in France. This follows the initial signing of the agreement with KPMG France back in July 2024 (see Press Release).
With the conclusion of this transaction, Interpath's corporate restructuring capabilities in France have been considerably strengthened, enhancing the firm’s capacity to support companies in difficulty and their stakeholders.
Over 100 employees in France have joined the firm as part of the transaction, including six Managing Directors and six Directors. Pascal Bonnet, Managing Director, will head up the Debt & Capital Advisory practice; Arnaud Demeocq, Karim Helal, Guillaume Réquin and Julien Sortais, Managing Directors, will be in charge of leading the Special Situations practice, alongside Baréma Bocoum, CEO of Interpath in France; while Charles Durand, Managing Director, will oversee the Value Creation practice.
While the majority of these new joiners will be based in Interpath’s Paris office, Guillaume Réquin will be based out of a new office in Lyon, ensuring that the firm has a strong regional presence among local companies.
The firm in France now include 12 Managing Directors, 11 Directors and 200 people in total.
This summer, Interpath opened its first office in France in the heart of 9th arrondissement of Paris under the management of Baréma Bocoum. Building on this momentum, Interpath aims to accelerate its development in continental Europe, and to continue to enrich its offer in France for companies and investment funds.
