Interpath, the international financial advisory firm, has hired the former heads of Mirabaud's investment banking team in Spain, Enrique Aguado and Álvaro Ruiz Urrutia, to develop and lead its M&A and Capital Markets practice in the country.
The announcement comes hot on the heels of Interpath’s launch in Spain in April 2025. Led on the ground by CEO Gonzalo Montes Amayo, one of the Spain’s foremost restructuring and debt advisors, Interpath has ambitious plans to grow to become one of the leading providers of financial advisory services in the country, advising companies and investors on all types of corporate transactions, including restructurings, refinancings, mergers and acquisitions, debt issuances (bonds) or equity offerings (IPOs, capital increases), debt structuring, and fundraising.
The new M&A and Capital Markets team, which will be led by Enrique Aguado, brings with it a portfolio of live mandates in sectors including industrial manufacturing, renewables, data centres, transport, consumer, real estate, and agribusiness.
In addition, the team will soon welcome four further colleagues to Interpath’s office in Madrid, and is also soon to appoint Íñigo Churruca, former Managing Director of Corporate and Investment Banking at ING in Spain and Portugal, as a Senior Advisor to the business.
