James Clark and Rick Harrison of Interpath were appointed as Joint Administrators to Torsion Projects Limited on Friday 16 October 2026.
Leeds-based Torsion Projects Limited specialised in delivering care home construction projects in the UK. The business had faced mounting financial challenges in recent months, notably because of the termination of contracts, which had left it with limited cashflow to cover its costs and remain solvent.
Given the financial challenges facing the company, and without any prospect of fresh investment, the Directors resolved to place the business into administration. All the company’s sites had been handed back to developers or relevant funders prior to the administration. Upon appointment, all 54 staff were made redundant.
James Clark, managing director at Interpath and joint administrator of Torsion Projects Limited, said: “The financial challenges that confronted Torsion Projects were insurmountable and, despite efforts by the Directors to identify fresh investment, there was little option but to begin the winding down of the business. We have a specialist team deployed to support staff through this difficult period.”
Administrators were appointed in July 2026 to Torsion Construction Limited, which provided contractor services to Torsion Developments – a business operating in the purpose-built student accommodation sector (PBSA). Torsion Projects Limited is also part of the Torsion Group and provided contractor services to Torsion Care Limited.
Torsion Developments Limited and Torsion Care Limited are not in administration.
