UK highways infrastructure contractor, Mason Street Furniture (‘MSF’) has been acquired by engineering and environmental services firm RSK Group in a transaction which further enhances RSK Group’s ability to support major infrastructure projects. Interpath’s Corporate Finance and Transaction Services teams advised MSF through the sale process and transaction.
Founded by Managing Director, Shaun Stacey, MSF is headquartered in Northamptonshire with an additional office in County Durham, MSF employs 175 people and delivers design, installation and maintenance services across the UK's highways and infrastructure sectors. The business works directly for National Highways as a Principal Contractor and supports leading civil engineering contractors including Balfour Beatty, GRAHAM, Esh Group, Costain and Winvic.
The transaction sees MSF join RSK Group, a is a global leader in the delivery of environmental and engineering solutions. Headquartered in Cheshire with an international presence, RSK has established itself as the home of several specialist built environment and infrastructure businesses, building a diversified group which supports major projects across water, transportation, environmental, and energy markets.
The acquisition is a natural strategic fit for the businesses. MSF is an established leader in highways technology systems including street lighting and signals, EV infrastructure, and fibre networks, adding specialist capabilities to RSK Group’s growing global transport infrastructure business. MSF also already works alongside Octavius Infrastructure, which joined RSK in 2025, providing an established platform for collaboration and integrated delivery across major highways and transport infrastructure projects.
A team from Interpath Corporate Finance provided sell-side advisory to MSF shareholders, comprising Neil Sumner, Reuben Taylor, Gaj Dharmasena and Sarah Nawaz. The team worked alongside Interpath’s Transaction Services team including Dan Rodbourn, Hattie Lloyd and Noah Short who provided financial due diligence services.
